Editorial policy
This policy sets out how W24NN decides what to publish and how to publish it. It applies to every reporter, editor and contributor across all three editions.

01Accuracy first
Accuracy outranks speed. If a fact cannot be stood up, it does not run — no matter who else has published it. Where a claim is unverified, we say so in the story and name who is making it.
02Sourcing
- We prefer named, on-the-record sources and primary documents.
- Anonymity is granted only where there is a real risk to a source, and only with an editor's approval.
- Single-source stories require sign-off from the chief editor.
- Material from other outlets, wires or social platforms is credited and independently checked before use.
03Fairness and balance
Anyone facing significant criticism in a story is given a fair chance to respond, and their response is carried at reasonable length. We distinguish clearly between reporting, analysis and opinion, and label each.
04AI-assisted production
We use automated tools for translation support, summarisation, tagging and image handling. No story is published on the authority of a machine: a named human editor is responsible for every published word, and AI output is treated as a draft, never as a source.
05Updating a live story
Developing stories are updated in place with a visible timestamp. Substantive changes to the meaning of a story are noted; typographical fixes are not.
