AI editorial standards
How W24NN uses artificial intelligence in the newsroom — and the limits we place on it. Every published story is the responsibility of a named human editor.

01What AI may and may not do
AI tools may assist with transcription, translation drafts, summarisation, headline options, tagging and research shortcuts. They never publish directly to the site.
AI is not permitted to invent quotes, sources, statistics or images presented as real. Fully synthetic imagery is only used when clearly labelled as an illustration.
02Human accountability
Any AI-assisted text is verified against primary sources and edited by a human before publication. Errors are corrected under our corrections policy, never quietly.
Reader data is not used to train third-party models, and confidential source material is never entered into external AI tools.
